Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach Confirms He is a Paid Columnist For Breitbart

Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach is a leading figure on President Donald Trump‘s Advisory Commission on Election Integrity. He is also now a paid columnist on a conservative website.

According to the Kansas City Star, Kobach — who has penned seven pieces for Breitbart over the past few months — admitted he is being paid by the website to write a regular column.

“I get paid for my column…just like you’re paid,” Kobach said.

Kobach is vice chairman of the Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity — because nothing says integrity like an elected official being paid by a partisan website to serve as a regular contributor.

Most of Kobach’s pieces have focused on immigration. But his column dated July 3 focused on his work with Trump’s voter fraud commission.

The Star pressed Kobach on claims from critics that Breitbart caters to white nationalists.

“I find that criticism to be completely baseless and if Breitbart had any connection to white nationalism I would not write for the site,” Kobach told the paper.
